Distribution Reserch

There are many ways to decide on how you could distribute your product. There is the traditional convention model which involves three levels. This model starts with the producer, then goes to the wholesaler, and then reaches the retailer. This is the most common model but there are risks. This model calls for all parties to protect their best interest. This meaning that the retailers will go against wholesalers and wholesalers go against producers. For instance, many producers might skip wholesalers and go straight to producers, making the wholesaler retaliate by dropping producer's product. There is also a primary alternate distribution which is direct distribution. This process is mostly all done by the producer of the product. This makes you sell and deliver the product, as well as you using your own salespeople and warehouses. This model saves your company money because you would not have to provide a profit for the wholesalers and the retailers. When deciding which model to use there are many obstacles you have to think about. For example, you have to think about what your project is, will it take up space, where do you want to put your product, and who will be your costumers.
